About TwinPendulums

TwinPendulums is a solo-built project.

One day, I came across a simple solar system simulation created by a father for his daughter. It was not complex, but it conveyed ideas clearly and intuitively. That struck a chord and revived an interest in basic science and mathematics.

TwinPendulums grew from there. I wanted to build similar interactive simulations that help students grasp concepts quickly, while also giving adults a way to rediscover and relearn ideas purely out of curiosity.

The simulations here are designed to be exploratory rather than instructional. There is no syllabus, no assumption of prior knowledge, and no pressure to “finish” anything. The goal is simply to interact, observe, and build intuition - whether you are encountering a concept for the first time or returning to it years later.

Disclaimer: I am neither a scientist nor a mathematician - just a software developer with a deep interest in understanding how things work. While I take care to be accurate, it is possible that some conceptual mistakes may exist. If you notice any issues, I would genuinely appreciate it if you could point them out using the feedback form available on the site. I will do my best to review and fix them.

TwinPendulums is an ongoing learning process for me, and hopefully for others as well.
